This Privacy Policy explains what personal information UMI Cleaning LLC ("UMI Cleaning," "we," "us") collects when you visit umicleaning.com or book a cleaning service, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect information three ways: directly from you, automatically through our website and booking tools, and from the platforms that send us your inquiry.

Directly from you

• Contact details: name, phone number, email address, service address
• Property details used to price and schedule a job: square footage, bedroom/bathroom count, condition, pets, requested add-ons
• Payment information, processed and stored by our third-party payment processor — we retain only the card type and last four digits
• Anything you send us by phone, text, email, or website chat
• Reviews, survey responses, and customer support requests

Automatically, through our website and booking platform

• Website usage data (IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location) via cookies and similar technologies
• Your booking and service history: dates, frequency, service type, price
• Real-time service-visit status (cleaner en route, arrived, started, completed), generated by our scheduling platform to give you an arrival estimate

From third parties

• If you contact us through a Google Local Services Ad, Google shares your name, phone number, and inquiry with us. Calls placed through the Google forwarding number on that ad may be recorded and transcribed by Google for verification purposes, under Google's own privacy policy
• If you reach us through a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta may share limited ad-interaction data with us under Meta's own privacy policy

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, schedule, and dispatch the cleaning service you request
• To communicate about bookings, confirmations, arrival windows, and changes
• To process payment for completed services
• To respond to customer service inquiries and complaints
• To improve our services, website, and marketing, based on aggregated, de-identified usage patterns
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
• To send promotional messages, only where you've opted in or as otherwise permitted by law; you can opt out of marketing at any time

We do not use your information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not use service-visit location or status data for anything beyond scheduling and arrival notifications.

Text Messaging (SMS) Communications & Consent

• By providing your mobile number when booking a service, submitting a form on our website, or otherwise opting in, you consent to receive text messages from UMI Cleaning related to your booking — confirmations, arrival-time updates, and appointment reminders.
• Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by booking activity.
• Reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts, or HELP for assistance. You can also contact us at hello@umicleaning.com.
• Consent to receive texts is never a condition of purchasing any service.
• We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cookies, Analytics, and Online Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies — including advertising tags for Google Ads/Local Services Ads and the Meta Pixel — to operate our website, remember your preferences, measure ad performance, and understand how visitors use our site. These tools may collect your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing behavior on our site and, in some cases, across other sites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some site functionality. Our site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

• Independent contractor cleaners. Your name, service address, phone number, property details, and any special instructions are shared with the contractor dispatched to your job, solely so they can perform the service. Contractors operate their own independent businesses — they are not UMI Cleaning employees — and are contractually required to keep your information confidential and use it only to complete your booked service.
• Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform functions on our behalf, including our scheduling and dispatch platform, business phone/texting provider, customer relationship management system, payment processor, and bookkeeping software. Each is contractually restricted from using your information for its own purposes.
• Google and Meta, as described under "Information We Collect" and "Cookies" above.
• Legal and safety. Where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the safety of our customers, contractors, or the public.
• Business transfers. If UMI Cleaning is acquired, merges, or sells assets, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy.

Data Retention

We retain customer information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain business records for tax and legal purposes (generally at least the periods required under IRS and Oregon recordkeeping rules), and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your information as described below, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Oregon's comprehensive consumer privacy law, the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, applies to data controllers larger than we currently are. As a matter of policy — not present legal obligation — we will honor reasonable requests from any customer to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your personal information, unless we're required to retain it (for example, for tax records)
• Opt out of marketing communications

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted, PCI-compliant payment processing and access controls on our internal systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Our services aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we've inadvertently collected such information, we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We'll post material changes here; continued use of our services after changes take effect means you accept them.
